My Experience Over 10 Years in the Furniture Industry

At Ashley Furniture, I worked as a floor sales associate and later became a product advisor. I helped customers choose the best furniture for their homes, based on style and budget. I also learned a lot about furniture materials, construction, and how to match furniture to room layouts.
2. La-Z-Boy
At La-Z-Boy, I was part of the customer support and showroom team. I gave detailed guidance on recliners, sofas, and comfort-based products. I learned how important comfort and quality are in living room furniture, and how to explain features like fabric types, cushioning, and mechanisms to everyday customers.
3. Rooms To Go
While working at Rooms To Go, I helped set up full-room packages and guided families on affordable furniture options. I also helped customers choose matching items like coffee tables and rugs. This job taught me how to design full spaces without going over budget, which I now share in my guides.
4. IKEA (U.S. Operations)
At IKEA, I worked behind the scenes and on the sales floor. I gained experience with modular furniture, storage ideas, and assembly tips. I also helped customers pick eco-friendly and space-saving options. IKEA taught me how to mix modern design with practical solutions for small apartments and big families.
5. Wayfair (U.S. Division)
At Wayfair, I worked in the customer solutions and product feedback team. I learned how to solve online furniture problems—like shipping, returns, and product quality. I also studied which furniture gets the best reviews and why. This experience helped me understand what people really want when shopping online.
